Perimenopause and menopause can be not only disorienting and exhausting but also a little scary. Not knowing what to expect from your body can make you feel isolated from the rest of the world.
But what if that fear could be turned into an opportunity?

It’s time to break the cycle and create your path. You are not your mother and it is not your responsibility to recreate her life or take on her values as your own. When it comes to creating a unique version of your life, you have an opportunity to do things differently than she did. You can choose different career paths, explore different hobbies, and engage with a variety of people that come from all walks of life. Life lessons don't have to be passed down in the same way; instead, you can foster creativity and independence by giving yourself permission to think outside the box.
Breaking the cycle of upbringing means being open-minded about unfamiliar ideas and being willing to learn more about yourself outside of what was passed down from generation to generation. It's important to remember that we are each individuals with our ideas, preferences, and goals. When navigating through difficult decisions or new experiences, consider how you want to approach them for yourself rather than following in someone else's footsteps. You should take advantage of this opportunity by engaging in activities that will help you discover who you truly are and make decisions that best reflect your personal values and beliefs.

Because of this, menopause offers a unique opportunity for self-exploration and growth both mentally and emotionally.
By taking the time to learn about menopausal health, many women are finding that it's a fantastic chance to reflect on the past and make positive steps toward the future. The menopausal journey is different for everyone, so enjoy the adventure - seize every day and make sure you're getting enough rest and relaxation along the way!
Find your tribe - connect with other Savvy Chic Women who are going through or have gone through menopause
My client Gina was feeling a bit down as she reflected on the changes in her life. She had just turned fifty and was entering into menopause. It felt like everything was changing, from her hot flashes to her emotional outlook on life. But then something inside of her shifted - she realized that this wasn’t necessarily a bad thing! This could be an opportunity for growth, exploration, and discovery if she allowed it to be.
So with newfound enthusiasm, Gina began to embrace all the changes that were coming into her life. And perhaps most surprisingly of all - Gina took up painting! And although some days were still hard work, overall Gina found herself living a happier more fulfilling life than ever before; embracing change had truly transformed who she was at heart.
