My thoughts today were reminiscing about traveling to France a few years back and feeling powerful as I stood in front of the La Tour Eiffel.
My mental escape took me on a journey walking down the Champs Elysee, getting lost in the Sacre Coeur and enjoying the delicious buttered croissants, baguettes that only France can make, and of course the delights of full-bodied wines.
Eating this way all the while trying not to get fat from my enlightened taste buds.
The saddest part of it all was that I didn’t return home feeling the same good feeling that I left with.
Even though I had my memories, My body wasn’t strong enough to withstand getting sick after my trip.
So, returning home, I knew I would have a problem as I sat next to a man on the return flight from Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Monsieur apparently had some infectious condition.
Unfortunately, there were no more open seats so I couldn’t move even if I wanted to. This was a full flight.
I remember breathing in his every hack of a cough that came flying from his mouth. I was soaked by every particle of mucus from his sneeze.
In this moment I vowed this would never happen to me again even if I’m flying first class or economy flight.
Taking care of myself before traveling would top of my “to-do” list.

Conditions that can compromise your body when traveling:
pesticides in rooms
Luxury traveling exposes you to culture, languages, style and a new way of seeing things that enhances your desire to live life more elegant.
I love eating new cuisines when I travel internationally or domestically but find that not every recipe suits my body.
Which can also produce symptoms of sensitivity reactions which makes you feel sick.
Have you ever suffered from these 3 conditions on vacation or coming home?
If you have then you are having sensitivity reactions. The only way for you to control how your body responds to these reactors is to listen in and take care of the whole person.
When you are exposed to something that your body didn’t agree with when traveling, allow 10-14 days to give your body time to reduce any new allergens that could have contributed to your sickness.
Your emotional wellbeing is just as important at this time.
Self-care is a priority to improve your outlook.
Dangers of purchasing personal care products when traveling:
There are a lot of products out their that include synthetic chemicals which can cause a toxic effect on your body.
These are your simple everyday products like mouthwash, toothpaste, shampoo or hygiene products.
When you are in another country being extra careful about what you use goes a long way in how you feel. Which means you may have to go out of your way to find something natural.
Look for products with natural names with coconut or olive oil in them. Your body is your largest organ so whatever is put on it goes in it.

What does a chic healthy woman do, so she won’t get sick traveling?
She pays attention to what goes into her body no matter where she is.
She doesn’t overdo it on food just because she has the free will to do so.
She makes sure to eat only amount or portion that her body can eat.
No matter where she is when she is traveling staying active is a priority.
Arming yourself starts before you leave home even knowing how to eat like a pro when you are at the airport.
It’s a lifestyle change that produces the best results in how you feel, not a diet.
Try not to stress about enjoying foods when traveling because you should. This is the beauty of living a chic life. Being able to enjoy life and your food.
Have a plan of action before traveling
Over the years of my wellness business, I’ve seen so many women neglect self-care.
They don’t give any thought to living a healthy lifestyle with longevity in view until something happens.
Incorporating meaningful self-improvement strategies in their life.
Getting to your destination after traveling is one thing but fueling your body while you are there, is another thing. Before you notice it, you can return home 5 lbs., heavier than when you left. I’m certain you wouldn’t like that at all.
Traveling and eating healthy used to be very stressful for me especially since everyone doesn’t cook like you. Even restaurant cuisines can vary from state to state or country to country.
So what has been serving me and the clients that I work with is having a plan of action. What can you have on hand for a healthy breakfast to get your morning started? What can you do?
Once you established this plan of action which starts with your mindset, don’t budge no matter what!
Trust me, you will be fine. It’s just that your body can’t handle a lot of changes especially if you are trying to keep your weight under control.
