Strategy That is Proven To Help You Lose Weight At Your Pace

I bet last year you said, “This is it I am getting my hourglass figure back and lose those last stubborn pounds.” Did you lose the weight? Was your goal accomplished? Every year women all over the world have the same common goal of having a figure they can be proud to show off.  As many efforts we put forth to accomplish this goal, something always gets in our way.  With the most sincere efforts, guess what happens? Time elapse and having no strategy in place can hinder your best intentions.

If you tackle this goal with no thought whatsoever, then more than likely you will not succeed. Primarily because you have no strategy for when temptations arise or you have no clue how your body is working which can sabotage your good efforts. On any given day, 45% of women are on a diet, according to the National eating Disorders Association. I am not one for a quick fix, since most weight gain doesn’t happen overnight. So it will take time to get it off and keep it off.

Discover The Strategy I used with my clients that will help you lose weight at your own pace 

Strategy# 1: Never skip on breakfast; it is a no-no, if you want your metabolism to function in the way that can benefit you. Eat foods that will give your body energy in the morning and that is light enough to avoid that stuffy sluggish feeling by noon. Not only do you want energy filled foods but ones that will give you what you need to have creative thinking. The brain operates best on carbohydrates. Best foods for breakfast includes: fruit bowl w/seeds, or granola, Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal, Almond Butter Oatmeal, Organic Granola Berry Parfait, Quinoa, chia seeds, Buckwheat pancakes, as well as hemp hearts/seeds.

Strategy#2: Water, water, and more water. I can’t say enough about this free beverage. Water should always be consumed 30 minutes before your meal and 1 hour after to assist in assimilating of digested food. The reason is that you want your body’s natural enzymes to digest your food. If you find that you have to drink with your food this could be a clear indication that you are eating too fast or your food is too salty. To remedy this, slow down or use more herbs and reduce your salt intake. If you eat out a lot, the strategy is to learn how to cook delicious healthy foods at home.

Warm water and lemon is a great strategy to jump starts your digestion when you first wake up. It helps to eliminate toxins as well as reduce uric acid from your joints. The vitamin C component as well as other antioxidants helps decrease wrinkles and blemishes and it helps to combat free radical damage.

Lemon water

Vitamin C is superb for healthy glowing skin while its alkaline nature kills some types of bacteria known to cause acne. You can actually apply the lemon directly to scars or age spots to help reduce their appearance. Since lemon water purges toxins from your blood, it would also be helping to keep your skin clear of blemishes from the inside out. So, you would be rejuvenating your skin from the inside out. Even though it is acidic in nature once in the body it becomes alkaline. So ditch the coffee and make this your morning elixir, who knows maybe you will find the fountain of youth after all.

Strategy #3: Conscious eating is the most important strategy in your lifestyle. If you have the tendency to eat while multitasking, in your car, or at the computer then you are not being mindful of your food. What this does is to allow you to be aware of the taste, texture and flavor of your food. Most importantly you are aware of when you are satiated; notice that I didn’t say full. You are not eating to get full, if you do then you my dear have over eaten.

Strategy #4: Eat with the cycles of your body. Your digestive system has a natural cycle that should not be ignored. From 12- 8pm your body is eating and digesting so it craves nourishment, eat when you are hungry not when emotional.  At 8 pm-4 am your body is absorbing and using the food that you have assimilated, therefore no eating at this time is highly recommended.

Then at 4 am-12 noon your body is preparing to excrete all waste products from your body.  Heavy foods is not what your body needs at this time. If you have eaten clean whole foods from Mother Nature then you should not have any problems in this area. As women our bodies go through various cycles in life as we age and it is important to be in tune with these changes. Food is one of our energy sources, and the more nutritional the food, the better the body will function. If you choose foods that are nutrient-rich, organic, and free of toxins, the body will receive and absorb the highest nutrient intake, allowing us to feel satisfied and vitalized without empty calories, which can cause you to eat more and more.


As with any change to your nutrition or lifestyle you should always consult with your physician or your health practitioner of choice as you begin your journey towards healthy eating and a new way of living.
