Now, on average studies show that in order to see transformative results in weight loss after 50, you must have realistic goals.
Losing weight after 50 is not the same as losing weight at 30.
To fit comfortably in your favorite clothes again you would need to lose 0.2- 2lbs a week. This is in either from the way you look and how you feel in your clothes.
Now, these numbers are just guideline to follow.
But what does this mean for you?
Usually we self sabotage and think that, “If I see the numbers change on my scale, it means I’m going in the right direction”.
But not necessarily, because the scale will lie to you!

Would any of these numbers feel natural for you at your age and height?
Now…When you try to many different methods to lose weight after a while TOO MUCH of these diets, programs or methodology puts us out of balance with ourselves.
In order to lose 10-20lbs “naturally” without crazy dieting and constant detoxing, this is how long it takes to lose weight after 50.
What can you do to lose weight after 50?
#1. Engage in extreme physical activity for 7 days a week.
Heart pumping, sweating, vigorously move your body 30 min or longer. You’ve easily lost 2lbs. (CARDIO, WEIGHTS, HITT) INTENSE. NEED HEALTH AUDIT)….
#2. If you lifestyle is moderate activity
Meaning you engage 3-5 hours a week doing what you love and lose 1.5 lbs of weight. (Brisk walking, biking, tennis, hiking, gardening) DIFFICULT NEED GUIDANCE …..2 MONTHS
#3. Your lifestyle is rather normal
With a life of light movement 1-3 hours weekly you can realistically see a 1lb per week weight loss. Isn’t that exciting?
Do what you love!
Go walking, change how you eat, add deeper self care, hire a coach to help you with this type of self development, or enjoy a gourmet cooking class.
Guess what? If this is you…NEED ACCOUNTABILITY …3 MONTHS minimum.
#4. If your lifestyle is completely sedentary.
You often find yourself sitting behind a desk, then you eat at the same desk, or take a walk meetings. With this way of life you can expect to lose 0.5 lbs per week.
I know this is not a lot of weight loss for a woman over 50.
But don’t let this discourage you.
It just means you will need LONGER SUPPORT…6 MONTHS
