HOW TO STOP THE HOLIDAY WEIGHT WITHOUT DIETING

This time of the year, you may be struggling from added weight. And you first thought is to blame holiday weight gain.

You may feel that you can actually overeat without feeling guilty but if you find that you have tipped the scale into putting your health at risk, now it is time to take proactive action.

The top 3rd preventable death in the world is a tragedy because it is something that we can control. For women over 50, it only takes a small change to shift from being a healthy size to being overweight. By not paying attention you can slip into being obese.

This time of the year holiday weight can make you tip the scale.

Most of us live our life around dining rather that be dining in our dining out. The holidays seems to be the time of year when common sense is pushed aside and you feel that you have the go pass to dive into all tastings that are presented to you. And it can get very uncomfortable when the next season comes up and you can’t get into clothes that you loved wearing (trust me I’ve been there).

Listen, what is happening is you are not paying attention to your body. Especially the when dining out with colleagues, eating with family, and having a delicious sweet treat that was given to you as a present.

Some people can eat anything and everything and not gain an ounce, which makes you wonder, what’s with your genes. You have always keep weight off and stayed semi-fit. But not now, that you have passed the “big 50”.

Let’s not make any comparisons since this is not comforting as a Chic Woman, comparing yourself to someone else is self-destructive.

There are a few ways to overcome the Comparison Trap so you stop getting in your own way. I have outlined them in this week’s video.

Here’s what I want you to hear from me now…

You are worthy of being more.

You are worthy of feeling good and looking the way you desire, even if you appear (by the standards of others) to have it pulled together. This doesn’t make you arrogant or cocky or boogie. It means you are being called to uplevel how you chose to live, to affect lives around you.

You are being called to experience more JOIE DE VIVRE.

This is permission to say yes to how you want to feel this season.

You don’t need to say a thing. Share your desires with those who will believe in you, those who will give you a big high five and a resounding, “You go, girl!!” when the way you move in this world changes it will be evident in your family, relationships and the way you work.
