As a high level woman over 50, have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered what happened to the size you felt the best wearing? I remember a time when “healthy living” was not a part of my thinking or vocabulary. In fact, as a chic woman over 40 I was not “comfortable in my skin” at all, even though it didn’t appear that way from the outside.
Just recently, I was reflecting on a quote that I read some years ago, it said “you can change without growing– but you can’t GROW WITHOUT CHANGING!”.
That was the quote that literally encouraged me to take the leap into entrepreneurship
As a high level woman over 50 *|FNAME|* have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered what happened to the size when you felt your best. Or will my life be relegated to medication for the rest of my life? I remember a time when “healthy living” wasn’t even a part of my thinking or vocabulary.
In fact, as a chic woman almost 50 I was not “comfortable in my skin” at all, even though it didn’t appear that way from the outside looking in. To top it off I started suffering from debilitating headaches that sent me running to the hospital because I thought my life was ending.
HERE’S A QUESTION TO REFLECT:
As a high level professional woman over 50, do you ever look into the mirror and wonder what happened?
A DECADE OF TIME GONE BY?
I remember a time when “healthy living” was not a part of my thinking or even vocabulary. In fact, as a busy professional woman almost 50, who embodies the essence of being chic, I was not “comfortable in my skin” at all. Even though it didn’t appear that way from the outside looking in.
I HAD ANGELA BASSETT ARMS
I was a FedEx truck driver and proud of my ‘Angela Bassett‘ looking muscles! But sadly after I left FedEx Express in 2006; slowly over the next few years I started losing my beautiful muscle mass, to putting on weight in places I didn’t want. The size that I loved was disappearing before my eyes. But the problem is that, I didn’t even notice it.
In all honestly, I have never been ‘obese’ but have gone up and down like a seesaw from 10 lbs to 20 lbs here and there, Guess what? It does make a difference in how you feel about yourself and how you look.
I found myself with twenty extra pounds, mostly on my backside and tummy, which are the two places that’s hard to miss on most women.
To get it off quick I would fast, do quick detoxes or go on a short diet. But the problem was that it was never sustainable because I had to continually do it over and over again. Where is the fun in eating like that? Besides, over time this can wreak havoc on your body and your digestive health. I’m a woman who loves great food, fine wine plus traveling…chic living.
Until I figured out what really works for my body to keep weight manageable and inflammation at bay. I found my happy weight and more importantly, found peace and created a life I love living?
SIZE CHANGE THAT NEEDED TO HAPPEN
The first place I had to start was what I was unconsciously allowing to pass through my lips. After that, figuring out what size I felt the most comfortable in. Exploring my body with a holistic view, as to how my systems were functioning (ex: kidneys, digestion, liver, intestines). Only then was I able to make bigger adjustments.
Nothing is hidden about my life, my professional journey has been amazing and I want to share it with you.
I understand eating on the go, traveling not knowing how to eat healthy, stressful work conditions consuming me, suffering from debilitating migraines, emotional eating and gaining extra weight that didn’t make me feel my best.
The journey of working on myself with intensive formal education has given me the ability to know the best way to help you.
To finally get back into your clothes again without struggling. What investment are you willing to make to get to the size you desire?
